What?
bigfattoothbrush / brg-fÆt-’tu:Øbrush – n. 1 a big fat version of a brush used for cleaning teeth 2 a website for youth and children’s workers that has been created by peers with a chance to dig in, get involved and find loads of useful resources.

So what is bigfattoothbrush? Well it’s a culture web-site for Christian Youth & Children’s workers in the UK that is non-denominational – it’s a group of young people who are here to ’set an example to the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity’ (1 tim 4v12).

Why?
In October 2000 a group of lads and lasses got together and searched the internet for student Christian web-sites. What did they find?…a lot of American material! It wasn’t that the American material was bad, it was just written in styles we didn’t get and a lot of the information didn’t apply to us in the UK!

This site was written to fill that gap and as we’ve grown up so has the site! It’s now a resource for Youth and Children’s Workers across the UK with reviews and links to books, dvds, cds, and curriculums.

Who?
The site was started by Andy Guilder as part of a project he was doing at the time (involving HTML and business studies), along with Ally Arnold, Hannah Newman, Tim Newman, Becky Newman, Al Rodgers and Matthew Guilder the site was first published on the 19th March 2001. Since then other contributers have included Dave Morris, Emma Evans, 24-7 Prayer , Nate, Stella, Marie, Andy Larkum and David Crowder!

Where?
Bigfattoothbrush was founded in and around the happy town of Loughborough, but is now based in Beverley, a town in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

How?
Bigfattoothbrush is powered by Wordpress and hosted by interactiveonline.
